The first signs of the disease of supporting tissue of teeth – periodontium, are: redness and bleeding gums (gingivitis), bad breath and increased sensitivity of the teeth and gums when brushing or chewing. In cases when the inflammation is left untreated it progresses and leads to bone loss to the formation of pockets (periodontitis), withdrawal of the gums with the emergence of the recession and, con- sequently, movement of the teeth and their loss.
